HI è un nuovo concept d’hotel metropolitano di alta gamma, in totale rottura con gli standard classici del lusso.

A 200 metri dal mare e dalla promenade des anglais, HI vi invita a sperimentare un nuovo, contemporaneo stile di vita.

HI è stato pensato e realizzato da matali crasset.

HI propone 38 camere per nove diversi concept: ognuno è basato su una diversa organizzazione dello spazio da vivere e in cui realizzare un’esperienza unica. Al di là degli elementi decorativi, ogni spazio permette di scoprire alternative rispetto alla vita di ogni giorno e ai suoi codici. Le camere diventano strutture che sono teatro di micro eventi, diversi a seconda di ogni specifico ambiente. Il bar è il cuore dell’hotel.

Techno Corner (Active ou Hi-Studio)

A room devoted to image and sound like a private auditorium. The widescreen can be viewed from the comfort of the bed or the bath, with the television acting as a folding screen between the room and the bathroom.
The “sofablaster” is a couch with integrated speakers and headphones, and, in its arm-rests, a music collection from the Kompakt label.

A braided chestnut shelf laid high on the wall, runs across the room dividing it into two zones : the upper zone is for services, the lower zone, for relaxing.
The bathing zone is located behind a chestnut rack, as if it were the threshold of a garden.

This room emphasizes the passing from day to night through a metamorphosis. During the day, the room is a lounge with a couch with clear wood and acid green tones. At night, two wooden panels behind the couch open to reveal a pink alcove and the other half of the bed. The niche has all the comforts needed for the night : water, slippers …

White & White (Hi-Studio ou Terrasse)

This room is in immaculate white where the traditional codes of furniture have been disrupted. The table becomes a bed. The baldaquin bed becomes a bathtub (designed exclusively for HI), draped in white skaï with a fuchsia coloured Plexiglas ceiling. The room is dedicated to wellbeing with fresh and organic products.

Indoor Terrasse (Hi-Studio)

All the furniture is at the centre of the room. The furniture becomes a like a deck on an indoor terrace. At the far end of the terrace, an organic curtain provides some privacy while showering. The toilets are like a hut and when lighted, glow like a lantern.

Digital (Active)

A room with a graphic design theme inspired by cyber-culture. The walls are giant pixels, the furniture components are like the windows of a computer. One of these windows is a light-box, combining animated and still images, inciting once again new invitations and discoveries.

Rendez Vous (Terrasse)

A modular area, it can be a bath lounge or a working space. On entering, you discover a vast bathing area with a lava stone bathtub. This room has a private terrace, a complete living space with shower and adjustable seating.

Sustainable development is an essential component of HI LIFE philosophy.

It was natural for us that our Tunisian hotel would be in harmony with local life and its environment.
Located in the heart of Nefta, a protected site at the frontier of the desert, DAR HI is located above an oasis of palm trees that are in danger.
HI LIFE has created an association: PALM LAB that is working closely with the foundation Albert of Monaco. It is a laboratory of ideas to find solutions to protect the oasis and learn how to use it respecting organic and sustainable procedures.
Finding new ways to use Palm trees, reviving three stages agriculture and involving the tourists are the main points of this approach.
It is also important to educate the population about the importance of protecting the Nefta oasis and setting up irrigation systems to win the fight against the desert, HI LIFE tries to rehabilitate the link between man and nature.

Happy Bar

The bar is at the heart of the hotel. Its centrepiece is a suspended nacelle, impressive yet light, like a modern alcove. It structures the whole space, filtering the light coming in from both the street and the atrium garden.
In the evening, the atmosphere turns festive with lighting effects. The nacelle comes to life with the presence of live DJs (sound designed by Kompakt) or the Hi.mages video screenings.

A contemporary steam bath, made out entirely in resin. The hammam has two hot areas and two adjoining rooms, one for musical relaxation and the other one for massages. Wellbeing also means taking advantage of Nice’s wonderful climate, by relaxing in the atrium garden or on the room and spa terraces as well as the roof top pool with its panoramic view of the city.

On March 1st, 1993, we opened the blue doors on Gladbacher Straße 36 for the very first time and thus, a new record store was born. Two moves, a name change, almost exactly 500 publications and a staggering 20 years later, KOMPAKT is still here and stronger than ever.
